Privacy & cookies

How this site uses browser storage and anonymous analytics.

Who we are

The Logbook is the controller of information collected through this website. Questions or privacy requests can be sent to the contact address published on this site.

Necessary storage

Necessary browser storage remembers your privacy choices and enables features you request. The merchandise cart is saved as lb_merch_cart and contains only product identifiers, selected options and quantities; it is cleared after successful checkout or when you clear the cart. It is always on because the site cannot reliably provide those choices and features without it.

Optional analytics

Analytics is off unless you choose “Accept all” or enable Analytics under “Show options”. If enabled, this site creates random first-party visitor and session identifiers and records pages visited, time on each page, the referring website or campaign, and interactions with merchandise. It does not store your IP address, name, email address or full browser user-agent.

We use this information only to understand aggregate site usage and improve the site. Raw analytics events are automatically deleted after 13 months. Purchase totals in reports come from order records needed to fulfil purchases and meet accounting obligations, not from the analytics cookie.

Your choice and storage lifetimes

You can accept or reject optional analytics in the banner. Your choice is saved in this browser as lb_cookie_preferences and, where cookies are available, in lb_analytics_consent for up to 395 days. If analytics is enabled, the anonymous lb_visitor identifier lasts for up to 395 days and lb_analytics_session expires when the browser session ends.

Open Cookie settings to review or change your choice. Turning analytics off removes its anonymous identifiers and stops further analytics; opening the settings alone does not change your current choice.

Orders and your rights

If you buy merchandise, the details needed to take payment, fulfil the order and issue an invoice are processed to perform the purchase contract and meet legal accounting obligations. These records are separate from anonymous analytics. Depending on the circumstances, you may ask for access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or object to processing, and you may withdraw analytics consent at any time.

If you are unhappy with how information is handled, contact us first so we can help. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office.

Checkout is provided by Stripe, and embedded or linked content may be provided by YouTube and other services. Those services apply their own privacy policies when you interact with them.
